Coaching Qualifications

From the 1st May 2002, accredited qualifications in angling are delivered through an accreditation board, 1st 4 Sport.   Like other accreditation boards such as City and Guilds and EdExcel, 1st 4 Sport is responsible to the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA) to ensure that any qualifications accredited by them are of the highest standard, and with the appropriate assessment and verification procedures in place.  They must also meet all of the criteria for the level of qualification they achieve.  Once a qualification meets the QCA standards, and only then, does it become part of the National Qualification Framework.

The following table shows the relationship of Coaching Qualifications to National Standards.  Click on the qualification to link to the appropriate page in the QCA website.
